Customer Reviews
Very Impressed!,
by D. Andrews, 2010-09-04
I purchased a set to replace deteriorated acoustic suspension speakers in my 1992 Mazda Miata. Since the stock radio is definitely not high-end, I had only hoped for performance similar to the old stock speakers. What a pleasant surprise! Performance is excellent through the entire range. I even have significant bass response that definitely was not there before. Enough, in fact, that a door rattle has been exposed. My expectations are definitely exceeded.

I ordered these two replace two factoy speakers in my 1999 chevy X-cab and must say I am very impressed. I was trying to go cheap and these seemed to have the best reviews for the cheap price. These speakers blow my factory speakers away and look pretty good to. The best part about it I actaully used my factory mounts to hold the speakers in place with some slight modifacation and did not even have to drill any holes. I have only had the speakers installed for about a week but I am very pleased. I am sure there are some of these speakers that are faulty but you get those in every brand cheap and expensive.
Only worth their low price,

I have a 2000 CR-V. These came with no instructions. New holes have to be made either in the speaker frame or the panel housing. To me the factory installed Pioneer speakers sounded better than these. I wouldn't have bothered, but after ten years one of the Pioneers was blown and from the other reviews I thought these would be good enough replacement. Not satisfied... Now I ordered the Alpine SPS-600. I feel like I am taking less of a risk.
shipping sucks!,

the speakers sound ok, but they do have a muffled sound when turned up, just remember you get what you pay for, but I put them on a golf cart so Im not looking for high dollar quality, but what Im pis&^d off at is I ordered these with two day shipping and the shipper sent the package one day later than was told when I purchased them, so the package show up one day late, I paid for two day shipping cause I was leaving on vacation and wanted them installed before leaving so I could take the cart with me, but I ended up loosing one day of vacation cause the box didnt come till a day later, I feel as though I should get my shipping charges refunded to me from amazon, gonna have to think twice about not just going to wal-mart next time and get what I want when I want, then if it craps out I just take it back instead of waiting a month or so for a replacement, seems like its worth it so I dont have hassles like this. I gave it a three cause you get what you pay for, if Id paid $100 a pair I would have given it a 1.
Ok for the price,

These are okay for the price. Like a lower end stock speaker. Does the job and has decent sound except the bass. The bass is just terrible on these. If you enjoy listening to louder dance music and hip hop, these are not for you.
